Ms Manamela Thakgatso

Manamela Thakgatso is a young aspiring scientist who has obtained her BSc honours degree in Environmental science at university of Limpopo in 2021. Thakgatso applied for the DSI-HSRC Internship Programme and joined the Centre for Ecological and Sustainability Advisory as an intern in October this year (2021). She has a great passion for the environment and her substantial knowledge in GIS and remote sensing ignites her interest for climate change and water resources modelling. This internship will provide her an opportunity to deepen her knowledge and exposure in the freshwater field and develop the necessary skills for environmental consulting.
